This social healthcare programme has been organised to bring medical care to the poorest people of towns and villages of Lima. Each year, many children and elderly pass away due to respiratory diseases and hundreds of children are diagnosed with anaemia. These are just some of the problems these people have to deal with all year round and the main obstacle to access to health services they face is the economic factor and the distance to health facilities. Sometimes a person from a village who needs to see a doctor will have to walk for a whole day!

At Mundo Verde we have organised joint work with the Ministry of Health and hospitals to bring medical care to these people by working with doctors, nurses, dentists and volunteers to periodically visit each village to see the people and treat patients as well as to follow up with treatments they need.

Every month we have a planned visits to these villages and we need a minimum amount of people, usually 10, to make this possible. We encourage you to join us on this noble project and help us give something meaningful to both you and the less fortunate people of this area.

During our mobile clinic programmes, you will have two types of accommodation, the first being the hotel in which you will stay upon arrival and spend the first night. This hotel is conveniently located in the centre of the city near the most important places such as banks, restaurants and tourist attractions. All necessary amenities are available to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

The second type of accommodation consists of rural facilities, either a communal house, schools or rural hotels with basic services. Depending on the location at the time of the Mobile Clinic Trip, we guarantee you will have private accommodation that is safe and secure.

Meals during the Mobile Clinic Trip in Lima will be provided by us. This is a way to help the people we visit as we train them on how to make safe and healthy meals and it can become an income source to them.

The Mundo Verde Team will be available at all times during this trip in case you need to clear up any doubts, need suggestions or help of any kind.

Since the Mobile Clinic Trip takes just one week, we will provide translators for the whole time, making it easier to understand the professionals you will be working with and, of course, the patients.

At the end of each day, we will have a chat and discuss the cases of the day, withdrawing positive conclusions from what you have learned and practiced
