Cordoba has many destinations for leisure activities whilst being there one of them Villa Carlos Paz, a beautiful village in the middle of the mountains perfect for a weekend escapade.

Museums, theatres and other art and entertaining venues are at the reach of one’s hand making this city appealing to any one’s eyes.

The accommodation we include for you here is well located close to your placement and is private. The Mundo Verde team is on call 24 hours a day whenever you need them. We include Spanish lessons for all students joining us on a placement.

Medical Elective

Many years ago, in Argentina the healthcare system was at a good level but in recent years the quality has declined, and they face many shortages in staff, funds and equipment, although inside the hospitals the standard of care is still high. You will get to work with doctors from the area and learn from them as they tend to patients. You may also occasionally get to put into practice what you have learned thus far. Learning about illness prevention and visiting different departments in the hospital will broaden your medical knowledge immensely. It is a beautiful city and you will also get the chance to enjoy it in your free time by visiting some of the museums, theatres or other entertainment venues.

The decor is tasteful and the rooms are ample and very relaxing. A member of our team will be on call 24/7 right by you.

Cooking Class in Cordoba

Gastronomy in Cordoba dates back to over a thousand years and their main ingredients are meat and vegetables. It has been built on throughout the centuries to combine to make some superior flavours and excellent plates of food. On our elective in Cordoba we have included a cooking class for you to get to know how they make their tasty dishes. Cuisine is a big part of any culture and we want you to get the best immersion experience possible.

You will be included in the whole process of the meal including helping to buy the ingredients beforehand, cooking it, and then of course enjoying it at the end. We want you to see how it all goes together so you can take the recipe home with you as a reminder of your time here. The class is included in the overall price of your elective as one of our extra activities for you to enjoy.

Tango session in Cordoba

You most likely know that Argentina is famous for tango. It originated in Buenos Aires but has made its way across the country as well as overseas to Europe and other places. It has a place in everyone’s heart here and is a tradition that they treasure. We want you to make the most of your time here and to complete your cultural immersion we have included a tango class for you to get started before heading out in the city to try it on your own. You will be able to mingle and really enjoy your evenings out and about with a few tango steps up your sleeve before heading home to impress loved ones.

Most relevant questions

We do not have complicated application process and remember that you are not applying for a remunerated work, this means that anyone can apply as long as they fulfill the required criteria.
Mundo Verde Elective Placements DO NOT ASK for any type of fee upon registration in any of our programmes, in order to secure your placement we ask for a deposit once your placement has been confirmed at any of our partner hospitals or clinics. This deposit will be used as a prepayment for one of your trips or excursions; this will guarantee your placement. The requested deposit once your placement has been confirmed is US$50 in all of our destinations.
If by any chance, we cannot place you at the requested programme we will locate you in a different destination if desired. This situation does not really happen, however, due to force majeure causes we would relocate you or cancel your placement, if this event would happen, your deposit would be totally refunded.
You must remember that in case you cancel due to any personal reasons then the deposit of US$50 will not be refunded.
Once you fill our enrollment online form, we will be in contact with you to start arranging your placement.

You are welcome to join our electives any time since we run our electives all year round and we tailor our electives according to your needs.
