“I went to Cusco, Peru for my elective with 3 other girls and I absolutely loved the whole experience. I went for 4 weeks and I found it very well organised, I was sent a timetable a few months beforehand so I knew exactly what I was doing when. We had such a variety of activities timetabled including a week spent in the rainforest where we were able to spend time in a rural clinic, which made for a very interesting comparison with the hospital clinic we were based in in Cusco. The Mundo Verde team were always there on hand to help with travelling on buses and trains on various trips which was a big comfort, especially with the language barrier. The trips that the team organised for us were brilliant, and were very smoothly run so I never had a stress about what was going on. One of the biggest highlights was the 5 day Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu, all of which was organised by the team so all we had to do was turn up and enjoy! Any questions we had throughout as well the team replied immediately and any help we needed they sorted ASAP.
Overall I absolutely loved the elective and I would recommend the Mundo Verde experience to anyone. Pablo especially, the main lead, is brilliant and was super flexible so if we wanted a trip altering he would move heaven and earth to sort it.”
